Detailed description of Eagle Creek
Eagle Creek, previously named La Grange Woods Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in La Grange, Kentucky, only 22 miles from Downtown Louisville. They are just 1.5 miles south of I-71 on Highway 53.
Eagle Creek golf course first opened for play in 1966.
Eagle Creek golf course is a tree lined course is surrounded by woods. The toughest hole on the course is #12, a 391-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a straightaway fairway to a green with a sand bunker protecting its right side. Eagle Creek is open to the public 7 days a week and can provide a challenge to golfers of all skill levels.
Eagle Creek Golf Course plays to 6,672 yards from the back tees for a course rating of 72.0 with a slope rating of 127.
Blue tees: par-72. 6,672 yards, 72.0/127
White tees: par-72. 6,087 yards, 69.9/124
Gold tees: par-72. 5,464 yards, 67.1/118
Red tees: par-72. 4,634 yards, 67.3/114

Because of the drought, this course is not in prime condition. I would like to play it again when there has been some water on it.

I played this course a couple of years ago and it was not well maintained. I was very surprised on how much it has improved. The fairways were green and very playable greens were as good as Vahalla and Nevel Meade, (Two top courses in the area). I have recommender this course since I played it.
